*Special Program* Engagement Fundraising: A Fresh Approach to Secure Major and Planned Gifts

In-person | Washington, DC
You don’t need me to tell you that raising major and legacy gifts isn’t easy. If it was every organization would be doing it with more and more ease. Unfortunately, securing major gifts, and identifying those who have intentions of leaving planned gifts is a challenge.
Traditional approaches to make this line of work easier involve wealth screening, demographic data appending, and a variety of other tactics. Sometimes these help, but other times they hurt.
Engagement fundraising is a blanket term that encompasses a specific philosophy, strategies, and tactics an organization implements to help improve fundraiser efficiency. Instead of relying on traditional approaches of prospect prioritization, engagement fundraising preaches a handful of marketing initiatives that allow your supports to “raise their hands,” and self-identify their willingness to meet with a fundraiser one-to-one.
- Learn effective donor engagements strategies.
- Learn how to prioritize which donors and prospects you engage with.
- Learn specific tactics to cultivate relationships with donors and prospects that are NOT ready for a one-to-one meeting.
This presentation is designed for any development professional that has ever been frustrated by traditional approaches to securing major and planned gifts (wealth screening, demographic profiling, propensity scoring, etc.).
